Yesterday, our Year 5 students had the great honour of witnessing a rehearsal of the Royal Barge Procession, where the royal oarsmen practised alongside the Royal Barges in preparation for the Royal Kathin Ceremony at Wat Arun Ratchawararam, scheduled to take place on Friday, 6 November 2026, on the auspicious occasion marking the 4th Cycle (48th Birthday Anniversary) of Her Majesty Queen Suthida.
Following this special experience, our students also had the opportunity to visit the Royal Thai Navy Dockyard Museum in Honour of the 84th Birthday Anniversary, where they explored the fascinating history, significance and craftsmanship behind Thailand’s magnificent Royal Barges.
It was a wonderful day filled with discovery, excitement and meaningful learning beyond the classroom. Our students thoroughly enjoyed the experience, gaining a deeper appreciation of Thailand’s rich cultural heritage and royal traditions through first-hand learning.
The School, our teachers and all Year 5 students would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Royal Thai Navy personnel and all the museum staff for their warm hospitality, kindness and for making this memorable learning experience possible.
