Language

Thai is mandatory for all students and is taught by our dedicated Thai teachers. These lessons start from Early Years through to Year 6.  Thai nationals are required to cover all aspects of a language including reading, writing, speaking and culture. Non- Thai nationals must participate in the Thai culture lessons.

French is taught for an hour each week by our own teachers from Year 3 upwards.

To give students further access to languages Mandarin classes are available for students from Reception to Year 6 during our extra-curricular activities once a week.

Parents are also welcome to arrange private language lessons during the school day.

Sathorn also welcomes students for whom English is not their first language. Our academically robust, comprehensive and high level English as an Additional Language (EAL) programme is tailored and resourced to provide optimal conditions for the academic and personal success of students.
